On November 4th, we relaunched Paralympic Sports Day 2023 at Rainier Beach Community Center! Guests were invited to learn about local adaptive recreation opportunities and try out power soccer, quad rugby, wheelchair basketball, goalball, adaptive rowing, boccia, and more. This event is a celebration of Seattle’s athletic programs for people with physical disabilities. As adaptive sports leaders, we feel responsible to connect athletes in our area with as many competitive opportunities as possible. We are grateful for community partners that attended including Seattle Parks & Recreation, Rainier Adaptive Sports, Seattle Slam Rugby, Seize the Oar, and Seattle PlayGarden. Additionally, we need to give shoutouts to our amazing volunteers for supporting adaptive sports in the PNW!
