On January 31, Kraken athletes were joined by VA staff for a clinic on sled hockey. The goal was to strengthen connections, have fun, and expose more professionals to adaptive sports.
SAS Operations Manager Kyle Hitzelberg commented that, “it’s great to host experiences like this with local recreational therapists. One of the best methods of building awareness and understanding is through hands on play. Knowing how fun, challenging, and crucial adaptive sports can be leads to the dismantling of barriers to get people involved.
