We are in the heart of our wheelchair basketball season! Our programs cover five different divisions: D1, D3, Women, Junior Varsity (youth, 10-ft) and Prep (youth, 8.5-ft).

Division 1

Coaches: Christian Burkett and Eve Hampton.

Aside from the US National team, D1 is the most competitive level of wheelchair basketball in the United States. The team went 2-2 at their first tournament in San Diego and can’t wait for the next. Current national rankings place our squad at #8 in the country!

Division 3

Coach: Jami Tribby

A core group of experienced players make up the bulk of the starting lineup. More recently, we’ve added some newcomers to our practice and travel squads, which has been a boost to our training. Our D3 team is led by veteran player/new coach Jami Tribby! Their next challenge will be at our home tournament in Bellevue!

Women

Coach: Isan Goldwire

The Seattle Storm roster shares a few members with D3, Portland, and Tacoma programs. This collaboration allows for our women to train in multiple locations, which helps boost numbers and intensity. The Storm have been highly competitive in local tournaments and feel confident moving forward in the season.

Junior Varsity

Coach: Nick Weiss

After relaunching this year, the Varsity team is the newest addition to SAS programming. This teenage lineup is learning adult rules and strategy for the first time, which is both challenging and exciting. Athlete development and morale continue to be sky high. We are thrilled to see this group become young adults over the next few years.

Prep

Coach: Brandon Burkett

The Seattle Prep squad is our youngest and most adorable team. Their focus is on having fun while building essential physical literacy skills such as passing, pushing, and playing defense. This preparation will allow them to advance personal basketball ambitions and reach their full potential.
