Individual Grant Opportunities

Pursuing your athletic goals shouldn’t be held back by financial barriers. We’ve gathered a list of grant opportunities available to athletes to help cover costs for equipment, travel, and training. Explore the options below and find the support you need to keep playing the sports you love.

Kelly Brush Foundation Active Fund

This grant is for individuals with spinal cord injuries, helping them purchase adaptive sports equipment to lead active lives. There are two grant cycles per year, so be sure to check their website for the next deadline.

Heads up! The Fall 2025 Cycle will IS OPEN to first-time applicants only – Application closes September 17 at 5 pm EST

Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) Grant

The CAF grant provides funding for adaptive sports equipment, training, and competition expenses.

Applications open October 1st, 2025, and close November 14th, 2025, at 5pm PST.

Surfgimp Foundation

Surfgimp Foundation assists individuals with disabilities to pursue an active lifestyle by awarding grant funding to help cover the cost of equipment, travel, lessons, support personnel, entry fees etc. so they can participate in activities of their choosing. 

The 2026 grant application opens on October 1, 2025, and will close on December 1, 2025.

Move United Grant

Move United offers grants to support the costs associated with equipment and travel for adaptive athletes participating in sports programs. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Team CATAPULT

Team Catapult’s grants aid athletes with physical disabilities in costs related to the world of adaptive sports. Granted funds may be used for competition fees, transportation and lodging costs, adaptive sports equipment, coaching and training fees, and more.

SAS Athlete Scholarship Fund – COMING SOON!

Our own scholarship fund is here to help SAS members with program fees, equipment needs, and tournament travel expenses. We believe everyone deserves a chance to compete. Applications are to be submitted on a per item/event basis.
