Join us for an evening of celebration! Seattle Adaptive Sports and the National Wheelchair Basketball Association invites you to join us to celebrate the success of our local athletes and programs.
Kick-off the evening with appetizers and a silent auction, followed by a dinner celebration.
Dinner features signature dishes by The Upper Crust, a socially conscious caterer.

Come celebrate 26 years of adaptive sports in the Puget Sound area with Seattle Adaptive Sports! Enjoy an evening of stories and successes that our programs have made in helping those with physical disabilities experience ‘life changing moments’ through sports and recreation. Whether current member, alumni, friend, or supporter join us for fun, fellowship, and fundraising.
Proceeds from this event will support the continuation of programs and opportunities that the National Wheelchair Basketball Association and Seattle Adaptive Sports provides those with physical disabilities. Funds go to court/ice rental, equipment, storage, competition, and scholarships.
FEATURED GUEST ATHLETES
Wounded Warrior, Paralympic Track Medalist, and US Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame Member. As a Co-founder of Seattle Adaptive Sports, Jim was instrumental in the beginnings of adaptive sports in the Puget Sound area.
2016 Rio Paralympic Gold Medalist. Desi was a leader in the beginnings of the Seattle Jr Sonics wheelchair basketball road to the NWBA National Championships Top 10, which lead to an academic/sports scholarship to the University of Alabama.
2016 Rio Paralympic Gold Medalist. There at the start, Megan was a Seattle Storm player....the first women's wheelchair basketball team in Washington, then went on to receive her degree from the University of Illinois on an academic/sports scholarship.
ABOUT US -
Seattle Adaptive Sports (SAS) is dedicated to the promotion of the wellbeing of individuals with physical disabilities, by giving them the opportunity to participate and compete in athletic and recreational activities, including basketball, soccer, hockey, tennis, and track/field. SAS participants benefit from the physical activity and socialization opportunities offered by the organization, improving self-esteem, physical wellbeing, and independence.
National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) is the longest standing and largest disabled sports organization in the world. Founded in 1948 to get injured veterans active, the NWBA has grown to include over 225 teams, in 7 Divisions from Youth, to Adult, Women, and College. As the National Governing Body for the U.S. Olympic Committee, the NWBA selects and trains Team USA for the Paralympic Games.
