2016 Rio Paralympic Gold Medalist. Desi was leader in the beginnings of the Seattle Jr Sonics wheelchair basketball road to the NWBA National Championships Top 10, which lead to an academic/sports scholarship University of Alabama.
2016 Rio Paralympic Gold Medalist. There at the start, Megan was a Seattle Storm player....the first women's wheelchair basketball team in Washington, then went on to receive her degree from the University of Illinois on an academic/sports scholarship.

Seattle Adaptive Sports(SAS) is dedicated to the promotion of the wellbeing of individuals with physical disabilities, by giving them the opportunity to participate and compete in athletic and recreational activities, including basketball, soccer, hockey, tennis, and track/field. SAS participants benefit from the physical activity and socialization opportunities offered by the organization, improving self-esteem, physical wellbeing, and independence.
National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) is the longest standing and largest disabled sports organization in the world. Founded in 1948 to get injured veterans active, the NWBA has grown to include over 225 teams, in 7 Divisions from Youth, to Adult, Women, and College. As the National Governing Body for the U.S. Olympic Committee, the NWBA selects and trains Team USA for the Paralympic Games.
Proceeds from this event will support the continuation of programs and opportunities that the National Wheelchair Basketball Association and Seattle Adaptive Sports provides those with physical disables. Funds go to court/ice rental, equipment, storage, competition, and scholarships.
